Welcome to MCBI! Our organization's mission is to create affordable housing in Massachusetts with high school students. We build affordable housing with the assistance of High School Students We are The Massachusetts Community Building Initiative. We are a new non-profit organization that is committed to directing and applying the energies and creativity of our commonwealth's greatest and under applied human resource; our young adults, to help create affordable housing in communities across the state. High School Students are Ready to Contribute At MCBI we have a firm and unwavering belief in the capabilities of Massachusetts' High School Students. This organization has been founded by educators on the premise that our states High School students have extraordinary capabilities that can positively and permanently affect our communities. Throughout Massachusetts our students can participate in organizational efforts, network building, fundraising, creating awareness within their communities, site selection, site preparation and renovation and construction. The Benefits Our mission affords students an opportunity to grow by giving to their community. At MCBI we are looking to provide clean, decent and quality affordable housing for any number of folks in our communities that may need a hand up. These groups include veterans, the disabled, the marginalized, and those who may have been dealt a serious setback. Through the creation of affordable housing, we will help to stabilize and build communities across the Commonwealth. |
